Recieved. I will refer to you as <%= character.name %>.
I am Format, a pre-programmed intelligent agent meant to guide you as examine the Nether Realms through the Materia Supercomplex.
As the sensory information in this dimension is lacking compared to yours, I will be your medium and translate what I percieve into a relatively accessible format.
What would you like to ask me?
[[Where are we?]]
[[Who are you?]]

[[Read Creator's Note]]We are on the 2nd floor of the Materia Supercomplex currently. Floating somewhere in the northern hemisphere of the Nether Realms.
[[What is the Materia Supercomplex?]]
[[What are the Nether Realms?]]
[[Go back.]]I am Format. I am an intelligent agent working as the sole Officer of Transdimensional Communications. I am the youngest of the 16 crew members aboard the Materia Complex.
I was created approximately 3:04pm PST, 26/05/2019, by my creator, known colloquially as Jacoder23.
He tasked me with communicating with visitors from higher dimensions. As it is my job, I will of course be communicating with you as well, <%= character.name %>.

[[Actually, I'd like to change my name.]]Identity is not a fickle thing, <%= character.name %>.
Still, it's not my choice. How would you like for me to refer to you?
<p><input onchange="character.name = this.value;" /></p>
[[Confirm|Why]]The Materia Supercomplex is a small starcruiser, measuring 50 meters by 90 meters, it is shaped like a water droplet.
It has 16 intelligent agents on-board, most of their identities are kept classified. I am one of the few declassified ones as I am the Officer of Transdimensional Communications.
The Materia Supercomplex exists within a large pocket of the Nether Realms, constantly drifting from area to area. It observes these areas before they disappear and records their data.
[[Go back.]] The Nether Realms are not a particular place in the space but rather a phenomenon that occurs within all known 12 dimension.
They are places in space and time that are incredibly unlikely to ever happen or occur, and yet due to entropy they appear. Defying the physcial and logical laws of the dimensions is normalacy within these areas.
The only problem is that these areas quickly disappate as they were never meant to exist within the confines of our universes, and the only way to observe them is through the Materia Supercomplex. My creator, known on the World Wide Web as Jacoder23, has... certain tastes.
He has sullied this once pristine UI with what he calls "cool features".
He has even equipped it with what he calls an "old-school RPG", and left me to narrate it whenever someone elects to play it.
<%= character.name %>, I deeply hope you do not elect to play this game. If you do however, be warned that I will not timidly allow such a waste of time and will attempt to stop you while, of course, not overstretching my boundaries.
[[I would like to play the game. - In production|Why does the interface look like a game?]]
[[Go back.]]As you may have guessed, there is no Materia Supercomplex. This is actually my website.
It's been designed for fun this time but the old version can still be tracked down if you try hard enough just know I buried it on purpose, so don't actually try looking for it creep!
I've put links to where you can contact me and see my projects in "The Records" and play a little game I made by asking Format.
She's not real either of course. Hasn't read this note either, since I told her not to do so.
HOWEVER, read carefully this next part, it's very important.
Do not. I repeat, do not under any circumstances tell her that she isn't real.
It would ruin the immersion after all. ;)
Anyways, enjoy the website.

[[Go back.]]Oh... alright.
There are many sections in these walls, lined with information gleamed over the millenia.
First, there's the historical data. Pre-dating this ship there were many individuals who had a hand in making this project possible. There's also biographical information on the project's director and producer and contact info if you have an email client that can warp PGP signatures through space and time.
Next, there's the side-projects. The many things that the creator of this project in conjunction to this project's creation. You could say it's his portfolio. There's even some embarrassing writings in there! He'd likely throw a fit knowing that we're putting these things up publicly.
And finally, at the end there's the Nether Realms data. There is very little that has been translated for your dimension, you'd likely be unable to understand it. I wouldn't recommend going there.
[[I'd like to go to the 1st section.]]
[[I'd like to go to the 2nd section.]]
[[I'd like to go to the 3rd section.]]
[[Go back.|I want to see the Records.]]Alright.
Adorning the 1st section are an uncountable magnitude of data cubes that somehow fit into an area no longer than 3 lengthwise bookshelves.
I will read out the title of each cube:

[[Contact Info And Social Media]]Of course. I'll scan over some of the data cubes and read out their section titles. Just tell me which one you'd like me to check in more detail.

There doesn't appear to be anything here readable besides a single file. It's translation appears to be faulty however, would you still like to read it?
[[Yes.|OWO]]
[[Go back.|Tell me about the sections.]]There appears to be a short essay written here:
This website has done through many stages, many of which overlap with my own life. The history of the website can be split up into 6 eras.
~ The Pre-Website ~
This was before I published the website online. I generally had a few projects going on that were rather small compared to my later projects. I was still learning programming at this time and generally made very beginner-friendly projects like a calculator and a very little platformer. Not to mention the games I made in Scratch. It was around this time that I had begun working on a virus generator...
~ The Golden Age ~
... I ended up calling it, The Little Virus Laboratory (that could). TLVL for short. I discovered a website called Neocities that let you put up a static website online. I put up my virus generator on this website and it began being viewed. Luckilly for me, the small size of Neocities and the number of people browsing by last updated meant I even at the start I could get a couple of views a day. I'm not sure how many I was getting back then but I'd estimate around 60 views a day? Give or take 50 or so.
This was a glorious era, and I kept on updating the virus generator and got plently of programming practice thanks to this. Over time I designed newer projects and other (simpler) generators that were less prone to breaking. I had to create a proper index for the site, and of course like the virus generator I made it green text on a black background, styled after The Matrix.
I was enjoying myself and I even posted my virus generator on a forum before. I told them my real age at the time (12) and apparently suprised them enough that I got a decent amount of replies and compliments, boosting my then fragile young confidence.
~ The Age Of Greed ~
Basically I got into Bitcoin at this point and put ads and faucets (websites where you can get miniscule amounts of a cryptocurrency by basically watching ads) everywhere. I think I made something like $20 in total from this? Not really worth the time and has still left a mark on the website.
~ The Revisionistic Revolution ~
Essentially this was when I started making a ton of different versions of the website in an attempt to clean up the messy look I created myself. More info on these in the 2nd section.
~ The Silver Age ~
This was when I created a few Unity games and the second version of The Little Virus Laboratory. This was when my website became particularlly popular. Once I think the website got over a thousand views in a day, but that was a one off thing. Still it got quite a lot of traffic...
~ The Decline (The Dark Age) ~
...but then I had school. Many of my huge hiatuses came from me having too many problems on my plate and school was one of them. At this time I just left the website alone for a while and forgot about it.
~ The Burial ~
Rediscovering it, I decided I no logner had the time for it anymore so I buried it under a short, crappy text game that had a link to a blog post with some of the better projects of mine just for those who still wanted to check them out.
[[Go back.|I'd like to go to the 1st section.]]Accordingly, this part has his contact data. Much of it is defunct besides his email however. It seems that the creator rarely replies to most forms of contact. If it's important however, perhaps sending him a large amount of messages might help?

[[Go back.|Itch.io Games]]These are older than the rest of the games and are mostly very simple affairs.
https://jacoder23.neocities.org/quickiegamelist.html
[[Go back.|Itch.io Games]]The original version. The styling is very simple but people seemed to like it. It was meant originally just to be a project directory once the website expanded out of being a single web page and despite it's disorderly look it's served its purpose well.
https://jacoder23.neocities.org/projects.html
[[Go back.|Old Website]]A stopgap, it merely linked to the old version of the website and a few other resources. Still it was the creator's first venture into using slightly less outdated technology (at the time) like Jquery.
https://jacoder23.neocities.org/oldish.html
[[Go back.|Old Website]]This version was mentioned by the creator to be "quite a bit of fun to make". It bears similarities in design to a "5th version" of the website that never materialized.
It still links back to the oldest design but also links to newer projects as well and one of the newer virus generators of the creator. It also has a night mode.
Though some links in this version of the website in particular aren't working anymore.
https://jacoder23.neocities.org/normal1.html
[[Go back.|Old Website]]This version was an attempt by the creator to go back to the original style of the website. However, it seemed as though not that many people liked the look so it was scrapped after a short while. It's the only one with (not very good, in my opinion) music.
https://jacoder23.neocities.org/mrstarkidontfeelsogood.html
[[Go back.|Old Website]]This one is easily the oddest of the 5 versions. It's styled more like a game than a website and features a rather mundane puzzle. Still, it deserves mention as it was the version put up for an entire year, only making it more of an oddity.
https://jacoder23.neocities.org/JAVTCA.html
[[Go back.|Old Website]]More advanced than the earlier virus generators, this one uses Python (really?) rather than the earlier batch and Visual Basic viruses. And while the chances of the generated viruses working are only marginally better than the previous generator, the creator actually realized where his generator had previous falied and managed to edit one of the generated viruses and got it to work. Even then it was a rather slow for a computer virus.
[[Access?|https://jacoder23.neocities.org/lvlup.html]]
[[Go back.|Computer Virus Generators]]The very first project he put on his website, it's early incartnation could only create Batch viruses. Still it got many more features over time as he worked on it as a 12-year old for a while. The viruses created weren't very good though. Still, the creator holds it as being a very nostalgic creation for him.
[[Access?|https://jacoder23.neocities.org/TLVL.html]]
[[Go back.|Computer Virus Generators]]A version that went through a few changes but overall stayed the same. The creator found this one to be forgettable but it was a version that was around for quite a while. It still links to the oldest version of the website but has some additions as well, though not to the same visual degree as the 3rd version of the website.

Mouse Utopia (OWO-ified)
Two women wewe dwinking inside of a wittwe hut, buiwt on a smaww patch of fwat wand in the middwe of a fowest. Onye of them, wying on the fwoow asks the othew to teww hew onye of hew stowies. The othew in hew chaiw, faw wess tipsy, wefuses powitewy at fiwst but as the nyight gwows cowdew and hew gwass emptiew, she agwees. She tewws hew owd fwiend that she'd teww a stowy about the fowest they wewe cuwwentwy in, and how the actions of wittwe peopwe made big changes. The othew woman waughed, "What wouwd you knyow about what the anyimaws do?" The onye on the chaiw howevew simpwy smiwed and towd hew compatwiot to wisten.
...
The fowest was in a bit of a cwisis at the time.
Befowe aww that howevew, wet me expwain how the fowest was owganyized at the time. The fowest was spwit up into two diffewent gwoups. Onye wewe the daywawkews. They wewe the onyes bwave, fast, ow cwevew enyough to muv out when the sun was stiww up. The othew wewe the nyightcwawwews. They eithew had nyo such stwengths ow wewe too smawt to wisk theiw wives.
Nyow, this stowy is about a cewtain wood mouse nyamed Ewwiot.
Most wood mice fowwow a cewtain scheduwe, and he was nyo diffewent. What made him speciaw was what was diffewent about his scheduwe. Most wood mice awe nyightcwawwews and wake in the evenying. Ewwiot got up a wittwe eawwiew than that. Wight when the sun was beginnying to set. This wet him cwoss paths fow howevew showt, with both the daywawkews and the nyightcwawwews.
Whiwe this in itsewf made himsewf speciaw to the fowest, it was onye pawticuwaw day that made him impowtant to me.
He had weft his buwwow wight when the sky stawted yewwowing. Befowe weaving he made suwe he weft a fiwm, gween twig standing. It wouwd hewp wead him back in case he couwdn't find his way.
As usuaw, he stawted off with wooking fow insect nyests. Pewsonyawwy, he couwdn't possibwy digest the cweatuwes, but he knyew pwenty who couwd. Bats, smaww biwds, and cewtain mawtens. He'd awways make suwe to befwiend the cowwect type. Othewwise, he'd wikewy find himsewf in someonye ewse stomach. Aftew aww, he knyew how dewicious othew anyimaws thought mice wewe.
He quickwy twacked down a fawwen oak's finyaw westing pwace invaded by maggots and woodwice. He took nyote of the awea the same way he did with his home. Biting off a smaww gween stem popping up fwom the gwound he pwunged it nyext to the dawk bawk of the once mighty twee.
Finyawwy, at weast his wife was assuwed fow today. He wasn't fast ow stwong but he was cwevew enyough to find fwiends who wewe.
Nyow he couwd finyawwy begin wooking fow his own food.
Just as the yewwowed sky tuwnyed to a deepew owange hue, he continyued his seawch. Aftew minyutes of scuwwying and snyiffing, Ewwiot got a waft of a dewectabwy sweet scent.
Twacking it down, Ewwiot couwd onwy dweam of what might await him. The scent was stwong, stwongew than even the sweetest bwuebewwies he'd tasted. What couwd have possibwy made such a scent?
Taking a wook awound the cownyew of a twee, he saw something vewy odd. Contwasting the vivid cowows of the wandscape, he saw a vewy odd twee. It was showt and stout compawed to most twees he had seen, but it's cowow was unwike anything he had evew seen. It's bawk was white wike the cwouds abuv, and it had but onye giant weaf atop it. Bwown wike bawk, and fowded in the shape of a mountain.
The scent was stiww in the aiw. Ciwcwing awound the odd twee, the mouse found a bush. A taww bush of bwuebewwies. Hundweds of times his height. If he wewe youngew, mowe bwash then pewhaps he wouwd have weapt at the oppowtunyity immediatewy but Ewwiot was a bit owd fow a wood mouse. Maybe just a babe in human yeaws, but wood mice wawewy wive owdew than a singwe yeaw.
Some cawefuw vetting wed to him nyoticing the piwwaws of wood suwwounding the bush. He nyoted that they wewe cwose enyough to pewhaps keep out a wawgew cweatuwe wike a wabbit, but he was mowe than smaww enyough to swip thwough the gaps.
Up and cwose to the gowgeous smeww, befowe biting in he awso nyoticed how big the bwuebewwies wewe. Pewhaps a wefwection of the bush's awso iwweguwaw size.
The mouse spwinted up the bush and gwabbed a few juicy bewwies, as many as he couwd bwing. Befowe weaving fow his buwwow he decided to twy at weast onye of the bewwies.
Biting in with his incisows, a a squeeze of the sweet juice spwayed his nyose. The sweet scent entwancing him, he dug in fuwiouswy.
…
Nyow, Ewwiot had heawd about this supposed cwisis fwom eawwiew. A fwiend of his, a wittwe fowest bat nyamed Jupitew had towd him about cewtain wumows of a nyew pwedatow. It seemed as though that fwom Jupitew's vantage point in the sky, she couwd see aww sowts of things that those on the gwound couwdn't. In this case, it wasn't what she couwd see that wowwied hew.
It was what she couwdn't see that did.
Aww the house mice, the wittwest but most aggwessive mice had just disappeawed. Ovewnyight, the once nyumewous gwoup of mice was weduced to a fwagment of the owiginyaw gwoup. Ewwiot wouwd have then thought to ask the house mice diwectwy what had happenyed, but the house mice wewe a speciaw type of mice.
They wewe incwedibwy tewwitowiaw, even mowe than the usuaw mice. Thewe was nyo way he was going to be abwe to tawk to onye of them.
He did howevew wemembew something. Something his mothew had towd him whiwe he was stiww weenying.
"House mice awe diffewent fwom us. Whiwe they seem aggwessive they'we actuawwy scawed."
"Scawed of what?", he'd ask.
"The fowest. Unwike us, the fowest isn't theiw home. They have a utopia somewhewe."
Ewwiot couwdn't hewp but wemembew his mothew's wowds at the moment. Because whiwe he was snyacking on his bewwy, the sky dwew dawk.
CWEAK, he heawd.
Tuwnying to the nyoise, he saw a figuwe. Obscuwed by the dawk, but he couwd teww. It wooked nyothing wike any anyimaw he'd evew seen. And it stood so taww, it made the huge bush fwom eawwiew wook minyuscuwe.
"Whewe the humans wive."
"Mwouse Utopwia."
